Aptitude Odd Man Out


In aptitude Odd man out questions divide into four module

  1. Odd Man Out
  2. Find Wrong No.
  3. Insert Missing No.
  4. Find Wrong No.

Odd Man Out

Odd man out means you have to find the odd number in a given series.

Example

5, 7, 12, 17, 21
A. 21
B. 17
C. 12
D. 3

Answer:C. 12

Explanation: Each of the numbers except 12 is an odd number.

Pick Wrong No

Pick wrong no means Find out the wrong number in the given sequence of numbers.

Example

2) 22, 33, 44, 99, 121, 279
A. 33
B. 121
C. 279
D. 44

Answer:C. 279

Explanation: Except 279 all the number is a multiple of 11.

Insert Missing No.

In this type of questions you have to insert the missing number.

Example

3) 10, 5, 14, 10, 18, 20, 22, (....)
A. 22
B. 40
C. 38
D. 23

Answer:B. 40

Explanation: There are two series (10, 14, 18, 22) and (5, 10, 20, 40),
one increasing by 3 and the other multiplied by 2.

Find Wrong No.

In this type of questions you have to find out the wrong number in the series.

Example

4) 1, 1, 2, 6, 24, 120, 820
A. 820
B. 96
C. 24
D. 6
E. 2

Answer:B. 96

Explanation: Go on multiplying with 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 to get next number.
So, 820 is wrong.
